Although the story is good, director Venky Atluri failed to execute it with a proper screenplay.
Scenes meant to be thought-provoking and inspirational end up being meh as the dialogues fail the test too.
You only feel bad for Dhanush because he does try to single-handedly support the film even in its middling portions.
Vaathi is a film that at large has a big intention but it never forgets to entertain its audience
The film tries to sell its message with conventionally accepted tropes which succeeds in most parts. The run time and the simplicity of the script help the engagement.
Dhanush’s entry into the Telugu movie industry has to be marked by a film of such mediocrity and confused politics.
