Mozhi

Mozhi is like a string of events strung together in a meaningful and poetic fashion that is immensely satisfying to the viewer. Instead of being bound by A, B or C centres, Mozhi is a film that will appeal to people from all walks of life. Prithviraj and Prakashraj are music composers who are both bachelors. In order to be eligible to get a place on rent, Prakashraj gets the idea to ask Prithviraj to get married. Prithviraj agrees to the idea provided he meets the right girl and knows instantaneously that she would be the girl for him. When he meets Jyotika, his heart flutters and he knows that she is the girl he has been waiting for.

Through small encounters, he gets closer to Jyotika and then realizes that she is deaf and mute. Love is blind, is it not? So what is the necessity for words either? Prithvi and Jo get closer and in time, he declares his love for her. Instead of her face lighting up with joy, Jyotika says that fact that Prithvi's friendship with her has turned into a love affait is a fact not welcome to her and moves out of the picture. Jyotika need not go laka laka laka to command attention. Through her eyes and actions, Jyotika conveys all her feelings and thoughts and her immense acting talent is to be greatly appreciated. Living in her silent world, Jyotika understands sound when she puts her hands on a speaker box and feels the vibrations. The joy she feels is expressed through the wonder in her eyes and joy on her face. Prithviraj's character shows that one need not necessarily fight or sing duets to be a hero. To understand how his love's world of silence is, he blocks his ears when he is in the outside world. These scenes are of great interest.
