Most Anticipated Upcoming Movies on ZEE5: Bandar, Sarvagun Sampann, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai & More

Bandar is a Hindi-language crime thriller directed by Anurag Kashyap, released in theatres on June 5, 2026, after premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film stars Bobby Deol as Samar Mehra, a struggling TV actor whose life collapses after a rape accusation by his ex-girlfriend Gayatri (Sapna Pabbi). Despite being in a relationship with Khushi (Saba Azad), Samar is arrested and thrown into a harsh undertrial prison system, where he faces emotional and physical breakdown while fighting for survival. The film also features Sanya Malhotra in a key role. Now, the makers have confirmed its OTT release on ZEE5, although the official streaming date is yet to be announced. 

After facing delays since its production wrapped in 2023, the film has now been officially announced as part of ZEE5’s upcoming content lineup. Set in the 1990s, the story follows a unique and quirky premise where Vaani Kapoor plays the lookalike of an adult film star, blending humor with deeper themes of identity and societal judgment. The film also stars Ishwak Singh, Raghubir Yadav, and Brijendra Kala. Directed by Sonali Rattan Deshmukh and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the movie will stream exclusively on ZEE5. 

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is a Hindi romantic comedy directed by David Dhawan, starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde. The film follows a fun story of love, misunderstandings, and family conflicts as the lead couple faces separation and unexpected twists abroad. After its theatrical release on June 5, 2026, the movie is now set to stream on ZEE5, though the official release date is yet to be announced. 

Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is a 2026 Hindi-language medical drama thriller starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the film is inspired by real events during the 2008 Mumbai attacks and is set over one intense night inside Mumbai’s Cama Hospital. It tells a powerful story of bravery, focusing on doctors and nurses who risk their lives to save patients, including the heroic efforts of nurse Anjali Kulthe. After its theatrical release on June 12, 2026, the film is now set to stream on ZEE5, although the official release date has not yet been announced. 

Pooja Meri Jaan is an upcoming Bollywood social-thriller starring Mrunal Thakur and Huma Qureshi. After a long delay of four years, the film is finally set for an OTT release on ZEE5. Directed by Navjot Gulati (with co-director Vipasha Arvind), the story follows Pooja, a young woman whose life turns into a nightmare when she is stalked by an unknown and obsessive person. As fear takes over, she begins a risky journey to uncover his identity. The film also includes a strong courtroom angle, dealing with serious themes like mental trauma and abetment to suicide, with Huma Qureshi playing a lawyer. 

Sumo Didi is a Hindi-language sports biographical drama streaming on ZEE5. Directed by Jayant Rohatgi in his debut, the film is based on the inspiring real-life story of Hetal Dave, India’s first professional female sumo wrestler. Shriyam Bhagnani plays the lead role, supported by actors like Chaitnya Sharma and Nitesh Pandey. The story follows Hetal, a determined young woman who rises above social judgment and body-shaming, discovers sumo wrestling, and travels to Japan to train hard and represent India on the global stage. 

Dalimb: The Myth is an upcoming Hindi-language psychological thriller set to premiere on ZEE5. The film features Jitendra Kumar in a completely new and intense role, moving away from his usual simple and relatable characters, alongside Priya Bapat. Directed by debut filmmaker Priya Aven, the story is set in suburban Mumbai and follows a disturbing case where a child goes missing from a high-rise building while a killer is on the loose. 

Ikroop is an upcoming Hindi-language thriller set to premiere directly on ZEE5. Directed and written by Akram Hassan, the film tells the emotional and gripping story of Ikroop, played by Mithila Palkar, an assault victim who is wrongly imprisoned. Inside jail, she forms an unlikely but powerful bond with a fearless inmate Urmi, played by Gauahar Khan. Together, they find hope and strength even in dark circumstances. Backed by Jio Studios and filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar’s AAZ Films, the movie also features actors like Kumud Mishra and Swanand Kirkire in key roles, promising an intense and emotional watch.
