After a successful theatrical run, Metro In Dino is now ready to entertain audiences on OTT. The much-awaited music drama, directed by Anurag Basu, will start streaming on Netflix from 29th August. Featuring an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, and Konkona Sen Sharma, the film explores modern relationships and emotional stories set in urban life.
Metro In Dino boasts a stellar cast featuring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Anurag Basu, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu, with soulful music composed by Pritam.
Feature an ensemble cast, Metro…In Dino is the spiritual sequel in the same format as Basu's acclaimed 2007 release, Life in a… Metro. Set across Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, and Kolkata, Metro…In Dino opens with a colorful Holi sequence that introduces Akash (Ali Fazal) and Shruti (Fatima Sana Shaikh), a married couple facing challenges and responsibilities. Their friend Parth (Aditya Roy Kapur), a carefree theatre artist, crosses paths with Chumki (Sara Ali Khan) in an unusual way, leading to an unexpected spark. Meanwhile, Chumki’s sister Kajol (Konkona Sensharma) struggles with the fading passion in her marriage to Monty (Pankaj Tripathi), uncovering emotional complexities that bind all stories together.
Metro In Dino wrapped up its theatrical run with an impressive worldwide gross of around ₹72.43 crore, including ₹56.3 crore from the India net collections and ₹6 crore from overseas markets. Made on an estimated budget of ₹45–50 crore, the film turned out to be a box office success, recovering its costs and generating profit primarily from the Indian market.
