Baahubali 3 Buzz Grows After Viral Prabhas, Rana Daggubati And Anushka Clip; Fans Await Official Announcement
Baahubali 3 Speculation Gains Momentum: Fresh speculation surrounding Baahubali 3 has taken over social media after a viral video featuring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, and Anushka Shetty sparked discussions about the possibility of another chapter in the blockbuster franchise. While there has been no official announcement from director S.S. Rajamouli or the makers, the clip has reignited interest in one of Indian cinema's most successful film series.

The renewed conversation coincides with the release of Baahubali: The Torchbearer, a four-part documentary that premiered on Netflix on June 26. The documentary revisits the journey of the Baahubali films, featuring behind-the-scenes footage, interviews with the cast and crew, and a look at the franchise's lasting impact on Indian cinema.
A short segment from the documentary has become the centre of attention online. In the clip, Rana Daggubati says, "I don't know if I should say this publicly, but since Rajamouli and Shobu garu aren't here, I'll just say what's on my mind. The world may not be ready yet, but there will be more Baahubali." As he says this, Anushka Shetty smiles, turns towards Prabhas and says "Baahubali" in a playful tone. Prabhas then smiles and raises both his hands with his fingers crossed, following which Rana and Anushka hold his hands. The sequence ends with the message, "And the legacy continues," prompting many fans to speculate that it hints at a third instalment of the franchise.
The clip quickly spread across social media, with many users interpreting it as a possible hint that Baahubali 3 could be in the works. Others, however, pointed out that neither the filmmakers nor the production house have issued any formal confirmation regarding a sequel.
At present, there are no announced details about when a third film could begin production, whether Rajamouli intends to revisit the fictional kingdom of Mahishmati, or if an official announcement is planned. As a result, the viral moment remains a subject of speculation rather than confirmation.
Baahubali Franchise's Lasting Legacy
Released in 2015 and 2017, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion transformed the landscape of Indian cinema. Directed by S.S. Rajamouli and produced by Arka Media Works, the films starred Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Nassar in pivotal roles.
The two-part saga achieved remarkable commercial success at the global box office while introducing the concept of large-scale pan-Indian releases to a wider audience. Together, the films earned more than ₹2,400 crore worldwide and became one of India's highest-grossing film franchises. Beyond the feature films, the Baahubali universe expanded through animated series, novels and graphic novels, extending the story beyond the big screen.
The franchise also marked its tenth anniversary with the theatrical release of Baahubali: The Epic, a remastered feature that combined both films into a single cinematic experience. The re-release drew audiences back to theatres, reflecting the enduring popularity of the franchise years after its original release.
For now, fans continue to closely follow every update connected to Baahubali. Although the latest viral clip has fuelled optimism about a possible third instalment, any plans for Baahubali 3 remain unofficial until the filmmakers make a formal announcement.
