Pranit More Controversy| Kunickaa Supports Comedian Amid Rs 370 Biryani Row: Not Everyone Has Courage To...
Pranit More has apologised again after the “₹370 biryani” crowdwork row grew wider online. The comedian faced backlash after a deleted show clip showed an audience member making a misogynistic comment. Viewers criticised More for laughing during the exchange instead of objecting to it. The matter did not end with the first apology or the video’s removal. Older clips from More’s stand-up sets later resurfaced on social media, bringing fresh criticism and raising more questions about his conduct during crowdwork.

Pranit More Apologises In Rs 370 Biryani Row
More recently restored his Instagram account and posted a video message. He said his account had been “suspended”, explaining his absence from the platform. In the clip, he asked viewers for another chance and called his conduct a “lapse in judgment” and a “big mistake”.
Addressing people in Hindi, More said, "This is something I wanted to say for a long time, but my Instagram was suspended. Many of you might have seen my crowd work video, for which I have been receiving a lot of hate. I feel I deserve this hate. Because while I was doing crowd work with that guy, he said many derogatory things, but everyone was laughing. I got carried away, and it was a lapse in judgment. I feel this was a big mistake on my part. I could have stopped him there or taken a stand, but I didn't. I gave him a platform, which caused things to escalate. To anyone who was hurt because of this, I want to apologize. Whatever legal proceedings are happening against me, I am cooperating with the authorities. I only request all of you to please give me a chance. I will become a better person. This was a learning experience for me. I am working on myself, I will work on my content, and you will be able to see this in my work in the future."
The backlash began with a viral crowdwork video from one of More’s shows. In it, a man in the audience suggested that spending ₹370 on a date gave him a claim to physical intimacy. The clip was later deleted, but discussion around it continued across social media.
Kunickaa Sadanand & Shehbaz Badesha Support Pranit More
After More shared the apology video, some Bigg Boss 19 contestants supported him in the comments. Kunickaa Sadanand described him as a “good boy” and urged him to remain strong. She also spoke about the risks of roasting and crowdwork for entertainers.
Kunickaa Sadanand wrote, "Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone has the courage to own it. @rj_pranit you are a good boy, with right values, but as I always said roasting or crowd work can carry you away, especially as an entertainer, when you see ppl reacting and laughing. I hope ppl forgive you, and i also hope ppl change their attitude towards women/girls. You were not the cause of a generational mindset, you were one of the many who inherited this mindset from generations of objectification. God bless you, I'm sure you will be back with brilliant content. stay strong stay mindful."
Shehnaaz Gill’s brother Shehbaz Badesha also responded to the post. He commented, "u r best bro galti maaf krne vale bade hote hai. u accepted thats great." Kishwer Merchantt added, "Am sure people will forgive you, just be mindful and very careful of the content and crowdwork u do! Stay strong!"
At the same time, More continues to face legal scrutiny. Authorities are investigating the matter, while online criticism has not slowed. The return of older stand-up clips has kept the debate active and placed wider focus on comedy, crowd reactions and responsibility on stage.
The controversy around Pranit More remains active despite his renewed apology and public regret. Support from industry names has followed, but criticism also continues online. More has said he is cooperating with authorities and will work on himself and his content going ahead.
