Kyunki Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hain New Entry | Het Thakkar On His TV Comeback With Star Plus Show

After a brief hiatus from television, actor Het Thakkar is back on the small screen with Ekta Kapoor's 'Kyunki Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hain'. Known for his stints in popular shows like 'Anupamaa' and 'Wagle Ki Duniya - Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey', Het will be seen essaying Akshay, the son of Angad and Vrinda, played by Rohit Suchanti and Tanisha Mehta.

"I'm truly excited to step into Kyunki Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hain as Akshay, the positive, loving son of Angad and Vrinda," says Het. "Joining the spin-off of the iconic 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' feels like a life-changing moment for me. Working with Ekta Kapoor ma'am is a dream, and I'm hopeful I'll also get to share the screen with Smriti Irani ma'am. I'm grateful for this opportunity and ready to give my best to Akshay and to the show's legacy."

The young actor had consciously stepped away from TV after 'Wagle Ki Duniya' to focus on academics. "College, tuitions, and boards needed my full focus, and I gave it my all. Web series kept me acting while fitting my schedule. Now I'm back on TV with fresh energy and gratitude," he shares. "Time away taught me balance, discipline, and patience. I'm proud of the pause, and even prouder of this return."

Currently studying filmmaking, Het is enjoying the best of both worlds. "School gives me the ideas, timing, and how to shape a story. On set, I get to use those lessons right away with a real crew. They feed each other. Class makes me better on set, and set makes class click. I'm learning and creating at the same time. It's busy, but it's rewarding," he says.

The actor credits his parents for his grounded approach. "I'm grateful to my parents who always stood by me and supported every dream I chose to chase. They taught me to schedule well, value time, and still listen to my heart. Their constant encouragement, hard work, and dedication shaped the career I always wished for. Who I am and what I do today is because of them."

On the work front, Het was last seen as Abhinav in the 2025 series 'CO-ED'. His diverse portfolio includes shows like 'Anupamaa', 'Gumraah', 'Bombay Begums', and 'Dr. Arora'.
