Beyond The Screen: Sony SAB Artists Share How Social Media Brings Them Closer To Their Fans
Mumbai, July 2, 2026: In today's digital-first world, the relationship between actors and their audiences extends beyond television screens. Social media has become a space where artists can share glimpses of their lives, engage in meaningful conversations and receive instant feedback from viewers.
From behind-the-scenes moments from their shoots to travel diaries, interactive content and heartfelt conversations, the digital world has allowed actors to build authentic connections with the people who support them. Sony SAB artists Gulki Joshi, Karuna Pandey, Iqbal Khan, Toral Rasputra, and Muskan Bamne share how embracing the digital space has helped them stay creatively fulfilled while strengthening their bond with fans.
Gulki Joshi, who plays Dr. Srishty in Yaadein, shared, "One of my favourite memories involving social media was when I hosted a little contest on my page where fans had to answer questions about me. It was so heartwarming to see how closely they had followed my journey! I picked a few winners and sent them personalised gifts along with handwritten letters and little things that I thought they would genuinely enjoy. The happiness and love I received in return was overwhelming. Moments like these remind me that social media isn't just a platform to post pictures, it's a beautiful way to build real, meaningful connections with people who have supported you throughout your journey."
Karuna Pandey, who plays Pushpa in Pushpa Impossible, shared, "Most people know me as Pushpa on screen, but social media has given me a space to share the things I'm truly passionate about beyond acting. I love posting dance reels because dancing brings me so much joy and it's always fun to connect with my followers through something so spontaneous. At the same time, I also use my platform to speak about animal welfare, a cause that's very close to my heart. I feel social media is at its best when it allows you to express who you really are, whether that's through creativity, your passions, or causes you believe in."
Iqbal Khan, who plays Dr Dev in Yaadein, shared, "I've never looked at social media as something where I need to chase numbers or constantly think about engagement. I simply post whatever I genuinely feel like sharing in that moment. For me, it's a space where people get to see a different side of me. Sometimes it's a personal thought, sometimes it's a glimpse into my life and of course, it's also where I share updates about the work I'm doing. I think the best connections happen when you're authentic, and that's exactly how I like to approach social media."
Muskan Bamne, who plays Shanaya in Pushpa Impossible, shared, "If you scroll through my social media, you'll probably notice two things that I post the most, the moon and my family! I'm a complete selenophile and whenever I spot a beautiful moon, I instinctively stop to click a picture. There's something incredibly calming about it. At the same time, I love sharing little moments with my family because they're such an important part of my life. I think social media is at its best when it reflects who you really are, your interests, the people you love and the little things that make you happy. That's what makes connecting with people online feel genuine."
Toral Rasputra, who plays Kunti in Hastinapur Ke Veer, shared, "People often see me in regal costumes as Kunti, but social media gives me the chance to express a completely different side of myself through fashion. I genuinely enjoy creating outfit reels, experimenting with styles and sharing looks that reflect my personality off screen. It's lovely when people engage with those posts, ask where an outfit is from or even recreate a look themselves. It reminds me that social media more than promoting your work, it's also about sharing your interests and connecting with audiences over things you genuinely enjoy."
