Nooru Saami Box Office Collection Day 2: The Tamil drama Nooru Saami registered a higher collection on its second day in theatres, showing an improvement over its opening-day performance as it entered its first weekend.

Written and directed by Sasi, the film hit theatres on June 19. Based on a true story, the drama features Vijay Antony, Swasika, Ajay Dhishan and Sakthi in prominent roles. The film has been presented by Meera Vijay Antony under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner.
According to box office tracking website Sacnilk, Nooru Saami earned an estimated ₹1.22 crore net in India on Saturday, its second day of release. The film had opened with ₹0.75 crore net on Friday, resulting in a two-day India net collection of approximately ₹1.97 crore.
The film's occupancy also showed an upward trend. After recording an occupancy of 15 percent on its opening day, Nooru Saami registered around 21 percent occupancy on Saturday. The improvement came as the film entered the weekend period, often considered an important phase for new theatrical releases.
Data available from the first two days indicates that the film has generated an India gross collection of about ₹2.26 crore so far. The higher Saturday collection improved the film's overall weekend tally after two days.
With Sunday collections still underway on June 21, trade observers will be watching whether the film can continue its momentum and post a stronger opening weekend total before entering the weekday period.
Nooru Saami: Story, Cast and Crew
Nooru Saami follows Selvi, a widowed mother who devotes her life to raising her two sons in a conservative village. Years later, her own unfulfilled life comes back into focus, challenging long-held traditions and expectations. As family members and society resist change, Selvi finds herself having to choose between what others expect of her and her own happiness.
The film stars Vijay Antony, Swasika, Ajay Dhishan and Sakthi in key roles. The wider cast includes Lijomol Jose, Karunas, Kavya Anil, Balaji Sakthivel, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Vinodhini and several others.
Sasi has written and directed the film, while cinematography has been handled by S. B. Darshan Kirlosh. The music has been composed by Balaji Sriram and the editing department is led by Harish Yuvaraj. Production design has been overseen by V. Sasi Kumar.
Produced under Vijay Antony Film Corporation, the film is based on a true story and explores family relationships, social norms and personal choices.
