Karuppu Now On Prime Video: After its theatrical release in May, Suriya's Tamil fantasy action film Karuppu began streaming on Amazon Prime Video on June 12, allowing subscribers to watch the film online or download it for offline viewing. Directed by actor-filmmaker RJ Balaji, the fantasy action drama was released in theatres on May 15 and is now available for streaming in multiple languages.

Apart from the original Tamil version, Karuppu is also streaming in Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. The film's Telugu dubbed version, titled Veerabhadrudu, has also been released on the platform on the same day.

Prime Video subscribers who wish to watch the film without an internet connection can download it through the Prime Video app. According to the platform's support information, downloads are supported on Fire tablets and the Prime Video applications available for iOS, Android, macOS, Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.

About The Film

Karuppu is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and features Suriya in the lead role alongside Trisha Krishnan and RJ Balaji. The supporting cast includes Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maya Ravi and Supreeth Reddy.

The story follows Binu, a young girl in need of a liver transplant, and her father Sukumaran, who travel from Kerala to Chennai carrying gold intended to fund her treatment. Their plans take an unexpected turn when the valuables are stolen. As they attempt to recover their loss, they find themselves caught in a legal system marked by delays and corruption.

The situation changes with the arrival of Saravanan, a mysterious lawyer who takes up their case and begins challenging influential figures within the judicial system. The film blends fantasy and courtroom drama elements against the backdrop of a legal system affected by corruption and delays.

The film is directed by RJ Balaji from a screenplay developed with Rathna Kumar, Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar. Music has been composed by Sai Abhyankkar, while cinematography is by G. K. Vishnu and editing by R. Kalaivanan.
