JANA NAYAGANA OTT RELEASE UPDATE: WHEN & WHERE WILL THE FILM STREAM ONLINE?

Even before its theatrical release, Jana Nayagan made headlines over its reported digital rights. Early trade reports suggested that Prime Video was in talks to acquire the film's streaming rights for nearly Rs 110 crore. However, the deal was reportedly shelved after multiple release postponements and an alleged piracy leak impacted the film's digital value.

Later, several reports claimed that ZEE5 had entered the race with an offer of around Rs 50 crore. However, these reports remain unverified, as neither KVN Productions nor any streaming platform has officially confirmed the deal.

Industry buzz also suggested that the ongoing OTT negotiations may have played a role in deciding the film's theatrical release date. According to reports, distributors were keen on avoiding a clash with Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, while the reported streaming partner allegedly preferred an earlier theatrical release to allow enough time before a possible Independence Day weekend OTT premiere.
