Gatta Kusthi 2 Box Office Collection Day 3: Vishnu Vishal's Film Nears ₹19 Cr WW After Strong Opening Weekend

Gatta Kusthi 2 Box Office Collection Day 3: Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi-starrer Gatta Kusthi 2 continued its theatrical run with steady growth over its opening weekend. Released in cinemas on July 3, the Tamil sports romantic comedy registered its highest single-day earnings on Sunday, helping the film post a solid first weekend at the Indian box office. As the movie entered Day 4 (Monday) on July 6, attention has shifted to how it performs on its first weekday after benefiting from the weekend footfall.

According to box office tracking portal Sacnilk, Gatta Kusthi 2 earned ₹6.20 crore net in India on Day 3 (Sunday). With this, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹13.85 crore after three days in theatres.

The film also recorded an increase in theatre count and audience occupancy on Sunday. It was screened across 2,400 shows, with an overall occupancy of around 45%, reflecting an improvement compared to both Friday and Saturday.

Gatta Kusthi 2 Box Office Report

The film opened with ₹2.70 crore net on Friday before registering a higher collection of ₹4.95 crore on Saturday. Sunday's ₹6.20 crore haul marked another upward trend, allowing the sequel to finish its opening weekend on a positive note.

Apart from its domestic earnings, the film also continued to add to its overseas revenue. On Day 3, it reportedly earned ₹1 crore overseas, taking its international gross collection to ₹2.85 crore.

Including both domestic and overseas markets, Gatta Kusthi 2 has now collected approximately ₹18.78 crore worldwide gross by the end of its third day in theatres. Its India gross collection currently stands at ₹15.93 crore.

The film's Monday performance will offer a clearer picture of how it sustains beyond the opening weekend, as weekday collections are generally considered an important indicator of a film's box office momentum.

Written and directed by Chella Ayyavu, Gatta Kusthi 2 serves as the sequel to the 2022 film Gatta Kusthi. The sports romantic comedy has been jointly produced by Ishari K.
