Double Occupancy OTT Platform: Tamil fantasy romantic comedy Double Occupancy arrived in theatres on June 12, bringing an unusual premise that blends romance, fantasy and comedy. Directed by Aswin Kandasamy, the film features Santhosh, Reshma Venkatesh, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Vinoth Kishan and VTV Ganesh in key roles.

The film opened in cinemas across Tamil Nadu and other regions on Friday, marking its theatrical debut. While initial discussions surrounding the movie have focused on its distinctive storyline, attention has also turned toward its post-theatrical streaming plans.

At the centre of Double Occupancy is an unusual story about two souls bound to a single body by a twist of fate. A woman emerges during the day, while a man takes over at night. Alongside the lead cast, the supporting ensemble includes Bagavathi Perumal and several other familiar faces.

Double Occupancy has been written and directed by Aswin Kandasamy. The project has been jointly produced by ACS Arun Kumar under the Benzz Media banner and Khushbu Sundar through Avni Movies. The music has been composed by Sam CS, while cinematography is handled by Santhakumar Chakravarthy. Editing duties have been undertaken by Praveen Antony.

The technical team also includes production designer Senthil Raghavan, costume designer Sruthi R. Kannan, and sound designers Suren G and S. Alagiakoothan. Visual effects for the film have been managed by Pixel Light Studio under the supervision of Fazil Mohammad S.

According to reports, Double Occupancy secured its digital and satellite rights ahead of release. The reported streaming partner is Amazon Prime Video, while the satellite television rights are said to have been acquired by Zee Tamil.
