Manya Anand, best known for her performance in the popular Tamil serial 'Vanathai Pola', is currently all over the news. The 'Raja Rani Roarer Rocket' actress recently spoke about her casting couch experience with Cineulugam. In the interview, the actress alleged that Dhanush's manager, Sreyas, contacted her for a new film and hinted that she needed to engage in a "commitment."
She recalled Sreyas tried to imply something beyond professional boundaries and told her, "There is commitment (adjustment)". To which, she replied, "What commitment? Why should I give commitment?" Then, Manya claimed that Sreyas tried further even after her refusal. According to her, Sreyas further asked, "You will not comply even if it's Dhanush sir?"
Sreyas's Old Tweet On 'Fake' Casting Goes Viral After Manya Anand's Allegations
Manya Anand's interview with Cineuluga has created a storm in the industry, reigniting the casting couch debate. Amid the shocking allegations, Sreyas's old tweet on 'fake' casting scam is going viral on the internet. Back in February this year, Sreyas, who is a director at Wunderbar Films, warned everyone of a casting scam and alleged that someone had been misusing his phone number for fake casting calls.
Manya Anand Issues New Statement On Instagram
A day after her shocking revelations, Manya has now issued a clarification on her Instagram story and urged everyone not to "spread false news". She clarified that it was a fake person, trying to impersonate Sreyas, Dhanush's manager.

Taking to her Insta story, she shared a note that read, "Hi all this is regarding my recent interview with Cineulagam (link mentioned). I noticed that several channels are spreading wrong information about Dhanush sir based on that interview. Please watch the original video where I clearly mentioned that the person who contacted may be a fake person claiming to be Shreyas and asking for movies. I also said that I would be sharing that number with Dhanush sir's team to get it clarified. I kindly request everyone not to spread false news. Please refer to the original video before drawing conclusions. Thank you."
