Good News: Ajith Kumar To Attend Centenary Function
Here is a good news for all Ajith Kumar fans. Well, the news is that the Thala, who never attends film functions or events, is finally gracing a function. It is none other than Centenary function of Indian Cinema.
According to sources, Ajith Kumar has given green signal to attend the function. However, it is not sure whether he is going to perform or not at the event. The event, which celebrates the journey of 100 years, will be attended by some of the big names of Indian films. Not only from Tamil movies, but also from South industries (Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam) along with Bollywood bigwigs are gracing the occasion.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa will inaugurate the event today (September 21) at 4 pm at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. She will felicitate awardees from the Kollywood. The state government has sanctioned Rs 10 crore for staging the event in Chennai.
Chief Ministers of four southern states, J Jayalalithaa, N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Siddaramaiah, Oommen Chandy and President Pranab Mukherjee are attending the event.

On the third day, all the top stars from four industries will give performance. It will be the prime attraction of the event.
Bollywood Biggies
Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and many others from Bollywood are expected to attend the event.

Reportedly, Tamil star Illayathalapathy Vijay will not be attending the function.

It is said that Vijay is very disappointed with the film industry for not supporting when his Thalaivaa had release issues last month.

His Thalaivaa went through a lot of issues with theatres in Tamil Nadu refusing to screen the movies citing bomb threat.
