In the promo new Lock Upp 2 promo, Munawar Faruqui humorously remarks that neither he nor the Lock Upp can stay away from each other for long. However, this time, he is not entering as a contestant. Instead, he takes viewers on a tour of the revamped prison, offering a sneak peek into the inmate cells, living quarters, jailers' room and other key areas of the setup.

The video also teases the unpredictable nature of the upcoming season. A mysterious neckband unexpectedly triggers alarms throughout the facility, hinting that contestants could be in for several surprises and challenges once the game begins.

Just when it appears that Munawar's visit is coming to an end, the makers unveil a major twist. The promo confirms two new inmates who will be locked inside the jail this season. The contestants are none other than reality television personalities Yogesh Rawat and Akanksha Chaudhary, who recently grabbed headlines for their journey on a popular reality show.

Sharing his excitement, Yogesh stated that audiences will get to witness the same authentic and unfiltered personality that connected with viewers earlier. Akanksha, on the other hand, said that the show would give her an opportunity to answer several questions that fans have been asking and finally present her side of the story. A total of 14 celebrity contestants will be seen as contestants in Lock Upp 2. Interestingly, before the premiere, the makers have already unveiled several confirmed names. Besides Akanksha and Yogesh, Ram Kapoor, Pamala Serena, Shivangi Joshi, and Dheeraj Dhoopar are also confirmed to join the much-hyped reality show.
