Aravind Akash Marries Sadhvi: Actor and choreographer Aravind Akash, best known to Malayalam audiences for playing Unnikrishnan (Guruvayurappan) in Nandanam, has married his longtime partner, Sadhvi RS. The 50-year-old tied the knot in a simple ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on July 1.

The wedding was attended by close family members and friends, making it an intimate affair away from the public spotlight. The couple had announced their engagement earlier this year, and their relationship has now culminated in marriage after several years together.
Who is Aravind Akash's wife?
Aravind Akash's wife is Sadhvi RS, who has reportedly been a close companion of the actor for many years. According to reports, their friendship gradually evolved into a long-term relationship before they decided to get married. Sadhvi maintains a relatively low public profile and is active on Instagram under the username @s.w.e.t.y.s.a.r.a, where she goes by the name Sara.
News of the couple's wedding has drawn attention from fans, particularly in Kerala, where Aravind continues to be remembered for one of the most recognizable roles of his career.
Aravind Akash's career
Although Aravind has worked across Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu cinema, his portrayal of Unnikrishnan in the 2002 Malayalam film Nandanam remains one of his most widely recognised performances. The film also marked Prithviraj Sukumaran's acting debut and introduced Aravind to Malayalam audiences in a role that would remain closely associated with him for decades.
More recently, he reprised the character in the 2024 Malayalam film Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, bringing the familiar role back to the screen after more than two decades.
Born in Delhi to Punjabi parents, Aravind later moved to Chennai with his family during his childhood. His interest in dance began at an early age, influenced in part by his mother's association with Tamil cinema as a dancer. Before establishing himself as an actor, he trained in dance and initially worked as a background dancer in films.
His acting career began with a few setbacks. A lead role offered to him in 2001 did not ultimately reach theatres, and another early project also failed to secure a release. He eventually made his breakthrough with Nandanam and went on to appear in several Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films.
Over the years, Aravind has featured in movies including Koottu, Ponmudipuzhayorathu, Mummy & Me, Mankatha, Maanaadu, Jigarthanda DoubleX, The Greatest of All Time and Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. Apart from films, he has also hosted and judged several dance-based television shows in Malayalam and Tamil.
The wedding marks a significant personal milestone for Aravind Akash, whose career in South Indian cinema has spanned more than two decades.
