Pongala Now Streaming On OTT: Pongala, the Malayalam action-revenge drama headlined by Sreenath Bhasi, has made its digital debut months after its theatrical release. The film, which arrived in cinemas on December 5, 2025, is written and directed by A B Binil and is set against the backdrop of Kerala's coastal belt.

Set in the Vypin harbour region, Pongala revolves around the clashes and rivalries among people living and working along the coast. Inspired by incidents that took place in the Vypin-Munambam coastal belt near Kochi during the early 2000s, the film follows a story of conflict, betrayal and revenge.

Sreenath Bhasi plays Abi, whose life changes after the disappearance of his father Joseph, a chit fund owner who leaves the family facing disgrace. Abi ends up taking the blame for a crime he did not commit and spends time in prison before returning home with hopes of rebuilding his life.

After his release, Abi starts working at the harbour and gradually earns the respect of those around him. However, he soon finds himself at odds with Babu and his brothers, who have a strong hold over the coastal underworld.

As betrayal and personal loss push him to his limits, Abi begins searching for the truth behind his father's disappearance. His search for answers leads him into a confrontation that could shape his future. The story centres on themes of conflict, betrayal and revenge.
