Balan Box Office Collection Day 6: Malayalam Thriller Crosses ₹10 Crore India Net, Nears ₹21 Crore Worldwide
Balan Box Office Collection Day 6: Balan: The Boy continued its theatrical run on Wednesday, June 24, with the Malayalam psychological thriller adding another day to its box office tally in India. With Day 7 collections currently underway on Thursday, June 25, the film has moved closer to the ₹21 crore mark worldwide after six days in cinemas.

According to box office tracking platform Sacnilk, Balan: The Boy collected ₹0.96 crore net in India on Day 6. The film was screened across 990 shows on Wednesday. With that, its total India net collection has reached ₹10.29 crore, while the India gross stands at ₹11.92 crore after six days.
The overseas market has also contributed significantly to the film's total. The Malayalam release has reportedly grossed ₹8.50 crore outside India so far, taking its worldwide gross collection to ₹20.42 crore. The latest figures suggest the film has maintained a steady first-week run after its opening weekend.
Released on June 19, Balan: The Boy opened with ₹1.82 crore on its first Friday and showed growth over the weekend. It collected ₹2.35 crore on Saturday before posting its highest single-day figure of the run so far on Sunday with ₹2.90 crore. As is typical after the weekend, the collections began to soften from Monday onward. The film earned ₹1.15 crore on Day 4, followed by ₹1.11 crore on Tuesday and ₹0.96 crore on Wednesday.
That trend places the film's first six-day India total at ₹10.29 crore net. Wednesday's occupancy was reported at 23%, with the number of shows dipping to 990 from over 1,100 earlier in the week. While the drop is in line with weekday trends, the Day 7 and second-weekend performance will now be closely watched to see how strongly the film can sustain.
Balan: The Boy cast, crew and plot
Directed by Chidambaram, Balan: The Boy is a Malayalam-language psychological thriller produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films. The film features Adhisheshan, Farzana Palathingal and Muhammad Zinaan in the lead cast, with Dolly June, Tovino Thomas, Jean Paul Lal, Girish A. D. and Beena Antony also part of the ensemble.
The story is centred on a mother and son whose lives are shaped by buried truths, emotional fractures and unresolved events from the past. As they navigate separation, secrecy and memory, the film explores their search for answers and reconciliation.
The project is written by Jithu Madhavan, with Shyju Khalid handling cinematography and Vivek Harshan serving as editor. Sushin Shyam has composed the music. The film's technical team also includes production designer Ajayan Chalissery and costume designer Sapna Kajha Rawther.
With the film now in the latter half of its first week, attention will turn to how Balan: The Boy performs through Day 7 and into its second weekend. Its current worldwide total of ₹20.42 crore gives it a stable base, but the next few days will determine whether it can build further momentum at the box office.
