Balan Box Office Collection Day 2: Farzana Palathingal And Adhisheshan's Film Nears ₹5 Crore India Net
Balan: The Boy Box Office Collection Day 2: The Malayalam psychological thriller Balan: The Boy witnessed an increase in collections on its second day in theatres, helping the film improve upon its opening-day performance during its first weekend.

Directed by Chidambaram and backed by KVN Productions and Thespian Films, the film was released on June 19. The project features Adhisheshan, Farzana Palathingal and Muhammad Zinaan in key roles, with supporting appearances from Tovino Thomas, Jean Paul Lal, Girish A. D. and Beena Antony.
According to figures reported by box office tracking platform Sacnilk, Balan: The Boy collected an estimated ₹2.35 crore net in India on Saturday, its second day in theatres. The film had opened with ₹1.82 crore net on Friday, taking its cumulative India net collection to ₹4.17 crore after two days.
The film also showed an improvement in audience occupancy. While it registered an occupancy of 28.7 percent on its opening day, the figure rose to 38.3 percent on Saturday. The increase came as the film entered the weekend phase of its theatrical run.
Malayalam-language screenings continued to contribute the majority of the film's business. On Day 2, the Malayalam version generated approximately ₹2.27 crore net, recording an occupancy of 46 percent across 914 shows. Smaller contributions came from the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions.
Based on the available data, the film's total India gross collection has reached around ₹4.83 crore after two days in cinemas. Industry observers will now be looking at the film's Sunday performance, which could play a significant role in determining its opening weekend total.

Balan: The Boy follows a mother and son whose lives are shaped by secrets, sacrifices and circumstances beyond their control. As truths from the past begin to surface, they are drawn into a journey that challenges their understanding of family, forgiveness and redemption.
The film stars Adhisheshan, Farzana Palathingal and Muhammad Zinaan in principal roles. The supporting cast includes Tovino Thomas as Abbas, Jean Paul Lal as Pavithran, Girish A. D. and Beena Antony.
The screenplay has been written by Jithu Madhavan, while Chidambaram has directed the film. The technical team includes cinematographer Shyju Khalid, music composer Sushin Shyam and editor Vivek Harshan. Production design has been handled by Ajayan Chalissery.
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn, the film marks one of the notable Malayalam theatrical releases of the week.
As of June 21, Balan: The Boy has entered its third day in theatres. With the weekend still underway, trade watchers will be monitoring whether the positive movement seen on Saturday continues through Sunday and contributes to a stronger opening weekend performance at the box office.
