'Thanupp' Set for OTT Release on Manorama Max: After its theatrical release on October 4 last year, Thanupp, directed by Ragesh Narayanan, is now gearing up for its digital debut. The film, featuring newcomers Nidheesh Nambiar and Jibiya T C in lead roles, will be available for streaming on Manorama Max starting February 21.

Announcing the film's OTT release, Manorama Max shared on social media, "Thanupp, starring Nidheesh Nambiar, Jibiya, Kuttikkal Jayachandran, and Arun Kumar, will be available for streaming from February 21."

Thanupp received notable recognition on the festival circuit, having been selected for competition at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in the 'Best Debut Director of Indian Feature Film' category. Additionally, the film's director, Ragesh Narayanan, won the Best Director award at the Madras Independent Film Festival 2024, further cementing the film's acclaim.

Thanupp Storyline

Thanupp tells the story of Pratheesh and Treesa, a young couple who move to a picturesque village nestled among hills and rivers. With the help of Prakasan, Pratheesh secures a job as a painter in his company. While the villagers warmly welcome them, they soon notice something unusual-the couple repeatedly asks about the village river, sparking curiosity and suspicion. As the story unfolds, the film delves into their true motives, weaving in themes of deep social commitment and concealed realities.

Thanupp Crew

Thanupp was written and directed by Ragesh Narayanan and produced by Anu Ananthan and Dr. Lakshmi. The film's creative direction was handled by Rajesh K Raman, with cinematography by Manikandan P S and editing by Safder Merva. Bibin Ashok composed the music and background score, while Vivek Muzhakkunnu penned the lyrics. Sound design was done by Ratheesh Vijayan, and project design was managed by Shanu Mithra. The chief associate director was Jamnas Muhammed, with Yadhukrishna Deyakumar as the associate director. Liju Prabhakar served as the colorist, Pradeep Gopalakrishnan handled makeup, and Anil Kottuli was in charge of costumes. Art direction was by Sreejith Kothamangalam and Praveen Japsy. Sound mixing was done by Rabeesh Edavattom and Nikhil Sebastian, while VFX was provided by Seventh Door. The chief associate cinematographer was Vishnu S Pai, PRO was A S Dinesh, stills were captured by Rakesh Nair, and the poster design was by Sarvakalasala.
