Sanchari Vijay is a theatre artist who bagged the prestigious National Award for BS Lingadevaru's Naanu Avanalla Avalu. Naanu Avanalla Avalu is an art movie, inspired from the autobiography of the life of transgenders.

Yes, Kannada movies are setting an example these days. The viewers perception of the industry has changed a lot and the filmmakers are glad for accepting non-commercial movies like Naanu Avanalla Avalu and Harivu.

2015 has turned out to be much more fruitful to Kannada Film Industry. While speaking in an interview with FilmiBeat, Sanchari Vijay revealed that, "I got many calls from the big personalities who are associated with the theatre background. But, I got only very few calls from commercial actors, who congratulated me for receiving the National Award."

The aspiring actor also revealed that Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar was one among the commercial actors who called and praised Vijay's effort in winning National Award for Naanu Avanalla Avalu.
