Karibasavaiah's daughter meets mysterious death

Kannada comedy actor Karibasavaiah's daughter Radha K (26) has committed suicide by hanging from a hook next to a ceiling fan with a dupatta at her house in Siddeshwara Nagar, Mahalakshmi Layout on Monday night. However the Kannada actor and his family have denied the claims stating that Radha has been murdered by her husband Mahesh (30) and his friend Johnny. The police have arrested husband Mahesh and his friend Johnny under the charges of harassing Radha for dowry.

The comedy actor's daughter fell in love with PUC failed Mahesh and secretly married him in Yadiyuru in 2004. Mahesh's family had denied to let him enter their house. Later Karibasavaiah himself had accepted the lovers and organised a formal wedding reception, which was attended by all Sandalwood celebrities including late legend Rajkumar. He had also got a house on lease in Siddeshwara Nagar for the couple.

Mahesh wanted to do a busness. So he started harassing Radha for money. Both the comedian and his wife were giving them money without each others' knowledge. He got addicted to drinking and started drinking everyday along with his friend Johnny. Ashamed Radha requested her uncle to get her a job. She had also got a job with his help in National Institute of Design a year back. Recently, he had been harassing her to bring Rs 8 Lakhs to build a house.

Karibasavaiah and his relatives claimed it to be a murder stating that Radha's body had injury marks and her fingers were closed, which were signs of a struggle. Moreover the height of the ceiling was less than 8' feet and the legs were touching the floor.

However, the police have said that Radha has committed suicide. They have denied to comment on the murder claims of her parents. They are waiting for postmortem report to take further action.
