Film to unveil Queen Victoria's sexy image
Produced by the Duchess of York along with Martin Scorsese, the movie will feature the romance between the Royal and her handsome cousin Prince Albert - an arranged marriage that turned into a passionate love affair. "It is one of the greatest love stories in the history of the monarchy," Sky News quoted Emily Blunt, who plays Victoria, as saying.
She added: "They really were made for each other and he was her greatest achievement in many ways. He loved her selflessly and wanted her to be the best version of herself that she could be." The Duchess became fascinated with Queen Victoria when she married into the Royal Family, and it was she who suggested making a film about the Royal"s early years.
Julian Fellowes, who wrote the screenplay, was thrilled by the idea and said: "I''ve always felt that the vision we have of Queen Victoria now, this little fat woman in black with the handkerchief on her head is only a part of the story, you know there is this very strong passionate girl at the beginning. I mean we all know about the grief of the widowhood but we don''t know about the love."
