Samay followed it up by telling the SOTY actress, “Alia ji yar, first of all, I can't believe you are here.” Alia replied, “I'm kind of regretting it.” The exchange gave Samay the opening for another pointed joke. He said, “Maine bhi kiya tha Jigra dekh ke regret.”

The Jigra reference stood out because the film, led by Alia, had received mixed audience reactions after release.

The roasting did not stop with films. During the episode, Samay also took a playful dig at Alia’s Cannes appearance and hosting of Screen Awards 2026.

Samay said, “Alia ji, yaha aap funny ho gayin, Zakir bhai ke sath kya ho gaya tha?”

Sharvari, who appeared alongside Alia as part of the Alpha presence on the panel, was also part of the larger banter.

Another moment came when Alia said she had watched Sunil Pal and Samay’s episode on Kapil Sharma’s show. Samay responded, “Aap sab dekhte ho yar, bhot time hai aapke pas.” He then added, “Isiliye Alpha itni delay ho rahi hai.”
