Raakh First Review: Ali Fazal, who was last seen in Metro... In Dino last year, is all over the headlines for his upcoming project which has got everyone quite excited. We are talking about Raakh which is a crime thriller. Directed and executive-produced by Prosit Roy, Raakh also features Sonali Bendre, Aamir Bashir, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Akash Makhija, Rakesh Bedi, Ramandeep Yadav, Divya Sharma, Vivaan Sharma and Anshul Chauhan.

To note, Raakh is based on a real life incident which shook not just the capital but the entire nation. The series revolve kidnapping and murder of Delhi siblings Geeta Chopra (16) and Sanjay Chopra (14) in 1978 by the infamous Ranga-Billa. Interestingly, Raakh will feature Ali Fazal donning the cop uniform for the first time on the big screen. Given the intense plot and impressive cast, Raakh has managed to create a lot of buzz in the town. And now, we have got our hands on the first review of the series.

In a post shared by actor turned critic Kuldeep Gadhvi, Raakh is a compelling crime drama packed with thrill. He gave the series a 4.5 stars rating and wrote, "Raakh is a gripping, disturbing, and deeply immersive crime-thriller series that keeps you invested from beginning to end. Every episode steadily builds tension, making the mystery more intense while maintaining a strong emotional connection with the family at the center of the tragedy".

He further emphasised, "Ali Fazal delivers one of the strongest performances in the series while Sonali Bendre gives a nuanced and heartfelt performance. On the other hand, Akash Makhija brings authenticity and intensity and Ramandeep Yadav leaves a significant impact with a layered performance". Kuldeep concluded saying, "The screenplay is one of the show's biggest strengths and the dialogues feel authentic and allowing characters to communicate naturally".

Meanwhile, talking about Raakh, Ali Fazal had stated, as quoted in a report by ETV Bharat, "When Raakh came my way, and I learned Prosit was at the helm, it felt like the universe was finally answering a quiet wish I'd been carrying for years. Playing a cop for the first time has been both challenging and exhilarating, but to explore this character under Prosit's direction has been nothing short of transformative".
