Saurabh Sachdeva Praises Shehnaaz Gill, Says Their Scenes In Ishqnama Will Surprise Audiences
Actor and acting coach Saurabh Sachdeva is gearing up for his Punjabi film debut with Ishqnama, co-starring Shehnaaz Gill and Jayy Randhawa. The teaser of the film was launched in Chandigarh today. Directed by Arvvindr S. Khaira, the film is slated to release in theatres on July 24.

Speaking at the teaser launch, Saurabh opened up about his Punjabi debut, what prompted him to come on board for the project, and his experience working with his protégé, Shehnaaz Gill and Jayy Randhawa.
"When the director first approached me for the film, I told him that I had never done a Punjabi film before. But his confidence and encouragement convinced me to take the leap. The moment I heard the story, I felt an instant connection with it. It was such a beautiful and heartfelt narrative that I knew I wanted to be a part of it. What made the journey even more special was the collaborative environment on set. Everyone was open to discussions, ideas, and creative exchanges, which made the entire filmmaking process incredibly enjoyable and rewarding."
Reflecting on his experience working on the film and sharing screen space with Shehnaaz Gill, he said, "Working on this film has been a deeply moving experience for me. The scenes I shared with Shehnaaz are particularly powerful, and I believe audiences will be genuinely surprised and touched by them. I admired the way she balanced different shades of her character while creating a space for genuine collaboration between us. What we created together felt very honest and emotionally impactful. Saurabh's Punjabi debut follows his Malayalam debut with the blockbuster Eko. Over the years, he has earned widespread recognition for his performances in projects such as Animal, Pushpa 2, Taish, Vadh, Jaane Jaan, Dhadak 2, Sacred Games, and many others, showcasing remarkable versatility across genres.
Up next, Saurabh is set to make his Hollywood debut with The Peasant, an upcoming international revenge-action thriller headlined, directed, and co-written by Dev Patel. Backed by acclaimed production house A24, the film marks another significant milestone in the actor's ever-expanding career.
