Meet Aarvan The Voice Behind Akshay Kumar s Trending Song

The track marks Aarvan's first major breakthrough as a Bollywood playback singer - and significantly, as the voice for Akshay Kumar - making it a defining moment in his career.

Being associated with a film that brings together Akshay Kumar's celebrated comic timing and Priyadarshan's acclaimed directorial sensibilities places Aarvan at the centre of one of the season's most anticipated commercial entertainers. For the singer, the opportunity represents years of dedication, training, and consistent groundwork finally translating into mainstream recognition.

An Organic Collaboration:

Aarvan's journey to Bhoot Bangla stems from his long-standing association with composer Pritam's core musical team, where he has been an integral member for the past five years.

"I've been a core team member of Pritam da for the last five years, so the collaboration happened very organically, built on trust and creative understanding," Aarvan shares. For "Ramji Aake Bhala Karenge," the team was looking for a specific texture and energetic tonality. Anurag Sharma (fondly known as Froggy), an integral part of the team, briefed Aarvan on the vocal requirement, and Pritam felt his voice would bring the right flavour to the track."That's how the opportunity naturally came my way," he adds.

Capturing the Spooky-Comic Tonality :

Blending humour with devotional energy, the song taps into the quirky narrative space that defines Bhoot Bangla. Aarvan credits lyricist Kumaar for shaping much of the comic essence through layered writing."A lot of the comic flavour actually comes from the brilliant writing by Kumaar Sir," he explains. "And knowing that Akshay Kumar is part of the film, we immediately understood the tonality and energy required."The first time the team heard the composition scratch from Pritam, they instinctively sensed its potential."We knew it was going to be a banger." The recording process, he says, was creatively vibrant and collaborative. Special attention was given to enhancing the spooky yet comedic mood - particularly in the now-popular "upar se god arrow ko chala ke bhala karenge" portion, which has already caught listeners' attention.

Aarvan also acknowledges Dhrubajyoti Phukan (Dhruba da) for helming the voice production and shaping the final sonic identity of the track.

Inside the Studio:

For Aarvan, recording is a focused and immersive experience."Whenever I step into the studio, I make it a point to give my 100 percent - emotionally and technically - and serve the song to the best of my ability," he says.

Under Pritam's guidance, the emphasis remained on achieving the right texture and emotional balance. Being officially locked in as the voice of the song was both humbling and exhilarating.

"Once I step out of the dubbing booth, I consciously detach and leave the rest to the universe. But being locked in as the voice of the song was incredibly exciting, and I'm truly grateful for the trust placed in me."

A Defining Career Moment:

Lending his voice to a superstar like Akshay Kumar in a film directed by Priyadarshan carries both responsibility and opportunity.

"Both of them have such a strong legacy in Indian cinema, especially in the comedy space. Being part of a project of this scale is a blessing and a valuable learning experience," Aarvan says.

Trained in Indian classical music, Aarvan describes his musical journey as one of constant evolution. Beyond recording vocals, his role within Pritam's team involves understanding creative briefs, experimenting with textures, and contributing to the broader musical landscape when required.

"It has been an incredible learning experience, and I'm truly grateful for the mentorship that has shaped me both as a singer and as a musician," he shares.

What Lies Ahead:

With multiple Bollywood projects currently in development and independent singles lined up for release this year, Aarvan is entering an exciting new phase. While details remain under wraps, he hints at "exciting developments on the Bollywood front" and looks forward to sharing music that is personally close to his heart.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhoot Bangla reunites the filmmaker with Akshay Kumar in a genre they are widely loved for. The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rajpal Yadav and is slated for theatrical release on 10th April. With "Ramji Aake Bhala Karenge" already generating strong musical buzz, the stage is set for both the film and its newest voice to make a lasting impact.
