As conversations around food adulteration continue to grow across the country, actress Kajal Aggarwal has once again brought attention to the alarming reality through her recent social media story. Sharing reports about Indian mango exports facing scrutiny over pesticide residue and quarantine concerns, the actress wrote, "This is unfortunately the story of India. This is #TheIndiaStory," directly connecting the issue to her upcoming film The India Story.

The post has sparked discussions online, especially because the film itself revolves around the pressing issue of food adulteration and its dangerous impact on public health. Presented by Zee Studios in association with MIG Production & Studios, the film stars Kajal Aggarwal alongside Shreyas Talpade and aims to shed light on a reality that affects millions of families every single day.

Directed by Chettan DK and written and produced by Sagar B. Shinde, the film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on July 24, 2026, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
