Salman Khan CJP protest: A day after expressing his concern on the violence during the student protest over the NEET paper leak in Delhi, Salman Khan appealed to the protesting students to return home. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a statement on social media, Salman said that he was confident that the BJP-led government would take stringent action in the matter.

Why Salman Khan Asked Students To Return Home?

The Bollywood superstar shared a fresh post on Thursday (July 23) night, mentioning that the safety, security and education of the students should be the top priority.

He requested the students not to worry, adding that he is sure PM Modi would take strict action against those who leaked the exam paper.

"The students are at top priority, educationally and security-wise, so they need not worry and have their parents worried for them. The Honorable Prime Minister has tweeted, and I am sure that he will take strict action against all those people who are responsible for this leak. So students, plz go back to your parents n homes (sic)," Salman Khan tweeted.

Earlier in the day, PM Narendra Modi announced that fast-track courts would be set up to ensure that the culprits involved in paper leaks receive punishment for their deeds.

The Sikandar star, who is one of the few Bollywood A-listers to publically react to the violence on students protesting against the NEET paper leak, also made a request to Sonam Wangchuk.

The Bigg Boss host urged the activist and education reformer to end his indefinite hunger strike. He said that he would send home food to him if he is ready to end his fast.

"Sonam, it's done, bro. Don't extend this. Keep the spirit for another day if there be a need, which I doubt, and eat something. If u want, will send u food from home (sic)," Khan said.

For the unversed, the Cockroach Janata Party initiated a protest against the NEET exam leak, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Led by the CJP, the students from across the country have staged a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar since June 20. They have requested the government to oust the Education Minister over irregularities in the NEET examination.

Salman trended on social media after he extended support to the student protest, describing it as a peaceful movement and expressing his displeasure over the violence. Following Salman's post, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor also supported the students on Instagram.

A credible mention needs to be given to Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Shabana Azmi, Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Anurag Kashyap and Arijit Singh, who took a stand for the students since the beginning.
