Dhurandhar Plot LEAKED: Is Ranveer Singh Really Playing Major Mohit Sharma? Post-Credit Scene Serves As...

Dhurandhar Plot Leaked

Dhurandhar Plot Leaked: Ranveer Singh's upcoming biggie Dhurandhar has been making headlines for all the right - and wrong - reasons. From the late Army Officer Mohit Sharma's family approaching the Delhi High Court seeking a stay on the release, to the noticeably low advance booking buzz, Dhurandhar has been at the center of multiple discussions. Directed by Aditya Dhar (of 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' fame), the action-packed espionage thriller drama is gearing up for its highly-anticipated release this Friday (December 5, 2025), making it one of the biggest releases of the year. Headlined by Ranveer, the movie has also been surrounded by controversies, ranging from Major Mohit Sharma's family raising objections to the film to Singh publicly apologizing for his viral mimicry of the Kantara Chapter 1 Daiva scene.

Amid all the chatter, fans are now most curious about one burning question: Is Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar actually based on the life of soldier Mohit Sharma? While the official trailer keeps the storyline tightly under wraps, a leaked synopsis appears to shed some light. Read on...

Dhurandhar Controversy: Who Was Major Mohit Sharma?

Ever since the Dhurandhar trailer dropped online, the family members of Major Mohit Sharma have been continuously claiming that Dhurandhar is based on him. As per reports, the family alleged that the movie was based on the life of the decorated army officer and it was done without any consultation or permission from the family.

Earlier, Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar had dismissed Major Mohit Sharma's brother Madhur Sharma's claims.

Born in Rohtak in 1978, Major Mohit Sharma joined the National Defence Academy (NDA) in 1995. He was killed in action in 2009 and posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra the following year. Even after so many years, the late Mohit Sharma continues to remain an iconic figure within the Special Forces and among Army aspirants.

Dhurandhar Synopsis Leaked: Does Ranveer Singh Really Play Major Mohit Sharma In The Film?

On Tuesday, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared Dhurandhar for its December 5 release with an 'A' certificate. With a runtime of 3 hours and 34 minutes, the Ranveer Singh starrer marks the longest Indian film in the past two decades (nearly) and one of the longest Bollywood action films in the history of Hindi cinema.

As per HT, the CBFC certification has allegedly revealed the movie plot and details about Singh's character. The synopsis of Dhurandhar reportedly reads, "Set against the backdrop of the IC-814 hijacking in 1999 and the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, the film follows India's Intelligence Bureau Chief Ajay Sanyal, who crafts a daring and indomitable mission to infiltrate and dismantle a powerful terrorist network operating out of Pakistan. To execute this high-risk operation, Sanyal recruits an unlikely asset - a 20-year-old boy from Punjab, held captive for committing a revenge-driven crime. Recognising the boy's potential and raw intensity, Sanyal decides to mould him into a weapon capable of penetrating Karachi's ruthless underworld mafia."

Given the trailer, it was already clear that Pakistan's Lyari - once a major hotspot for gang operations in the early 2000s - plays a significant role in the film. While the movie includes real-life figures such as gangster Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna) and Karachi SP Chaudhary (Sanjay Dutt), the leaked synopsis claims that Ranveer Singh's character, Hamza, is entirely fictional, crafted by the IB's chief officer (played by R. Madhavan).

Dhurandhar Post-Credit Scene

It was already reported that Dhurandhar would likely have a part 2. As per the same HT report, the Dhurandhar post-credit scene, with a duration of 4 minutes, will serve as a trailer for Dhurandhar 2, taking the story forward from where it ended in the first part.
