It's True! Salman Khan Was Not Interested To Work With Sonam Kapoor In Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Yes you read it right! Sonam Kapoor herself revealed that Salman Khan was not interested to work with her in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo because of her father Anil Kapoor.
In a recent interview with Huffington Post, Sonam Kapoor said, ''I lost out on a lot of films because of my father (Anil Kapoor). Salman Khan didn't want to do Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with me. He was like, 'Anil Kapoor has been my close friend. How can I romance his daughter?' It was really difficult and weird.''

Sonam On Salman
In a previous interview, when a leading web portal had asked Sonam that Salman initially had doubts about casting her in the film, she had said, ''Yes. But I wasn't upset at all hearing about it.''

Sonam Kapoor had further added, ''I know the place where he was coming from and eventually he was very happy with my performance.''
Soorajji Wanted Me In PRDP: Sonam
Sonam had added, ''I don't know what Salman's reason was, I just knew that Soorajji really wanted me in the film and since Salman hasn't done an intensely romantic film in a really long time, he was hesitant about who he wanted to romance on screen.''

''But Soorajji was quite insistent that I do the film. Salman, too, at the end of the day will go with whatever the director wants and eventually, we created such a great rapport that I hope he's happy with the decision,'' Sonam had revealed in the interview.

Talking about her PRDP co-star, Sonam Kapoor had said, ''Salman has this amazing way of never praising you to your face, but he will praise you to everybody else.''

The beautiful actress had also revealed, ''I hear what he's said about me to everyone and it's very kind and sweet of him. That's very good, otherwise he teases me a lot!''

The film was released in India on 12th November 2015 and received very mixed reviews from critics and audience. The movie was one of highest grosser films of that year.

On the work front, Salman Khan is busy with the shooting of Tubelight. The movie is being directed by Salman's close friend Kabir Khan.
Veere Di Wedding
On the other hand, Sonam Kapoor would soon start the shooting of her next film Veere Di Wedding. The movie will also star Kareena Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar.
Sonam Kapoor further added, "Farah Khan is one of my mother's best friends and yet I haven't done a Farah film, nor does she look at me as an actress she'd want to cast. It's a different, non-work relationship."

She also revealed that earlier she refused to take anything from her father, "It took me a while to shake that off because I was surrounded by people who constantly made me feel like I was some entitled brat. I refused to take anything from my father (Anil Kapoor) because of that and he used to get frustrated.''
''There were days when he'd say, 'What's the point of me having done so much in the industry when you want to do everything on your own?' Now, I've made peace with it as I feel I've been born into a family, given this talent to make a difference and I'm not going to let some outsider guilt-trip me into believing that I'm just a girl born with a silver-spoon who had it easy in life. That's very unkind and an unfair judgment,'' she said.
