Zee Cine Awards 2014: Deepika Padukone Bags Best Actress Award

The much awaited awards - Zee Cine Awards was held in Mumbai on February 8, 2014, and best friends Abhishek Bachchan and Ritesh Deshmukh hosted the show. The who's who of the Bollywood industry attended the award Ceremony.

The year 2013 had been a great year for the leggy lass Deepika Padukone. After bagging awards in many other ceremonies, now the beautiful actress has bagged Zee Cine Best Actress Popular Award 2014 for Chennai Express.

Deepika was nominated for Best Actor (Female) Popular at the Zee Cine Awards 2014 for three films - Chennai Express, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The hot actress has beaten her competitors Parineeti Chopra, who is nominated for Shuddh Desi Romance, Shraddha Kapoor for Aashiqui 2 and Sonam Kapoor for Raanjhanaa.

Deepika Padukone's role as Meenalochni Azhagusundaram in Chennai Express was much appreciated. While her Tamil accent in the movie was appreciated by many, few others criticised. Her role as Naina in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and as Leela in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela was also praised.

Well done Deepika... We wish to see you entertain us with many more movies and bag awards in the same way.
