Alpha Box Office Collection Day 5 Prediction: Alia Bhatt's Alpha, which has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year, witnessed a disappointing start at the box office. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is the seventh addition to YRF's spy universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2. The movie also features Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Sharvari in the lead. While Alia Bhatt is seen in the role of an assassin, Bobby is said to be playing the role of the lead antagonist. This isn't all. A cameo by Hrithik Roshan has also been grabbing eyeballs.

To note, Alpha marks Alia's first collaboration with Anil, Sharvari and Bobby. The movie recorded an opening day collection of Rs 9.25cr and marked the lowest opener of YRF's spy universe. This isn't all. Alpha received a disappointing response from the critics as well. Renowned film critic Taran Adarsh had tweeted, "Weakest film in the #YRFSpyUniverse... Brilliant action set pieces, stunning visuals, and a few well-executed sequences, but the writing simply doesn't connect... Missed opportunity!". And while Alpha saw a massive dip in numbers on first Monday, it is expected to see a hike in numbers today.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Alpha recorded an occupancy of 9% during morning shows today (day 5/ first Tuesday)

Given the trend, Alpha is expected to see a slight hike in numbers and is likely to earn Rs 4-5cr on day 5 (first Tuesday). The movie will be inching close to Rs 45cr mark nett in India and Rs 50cr mark gross. In fact, Alpha had earned Rs 47 lakhs from morning shows today.

Meanwhile, talking about working with Bobby Deol, Alia stated, "I call Bobby Deol a gentle giant because he is so overpowering on screen as a persona, but has the most gentle soul. When we were doing our scenes together, I realised that he could do something that's so unassumingly brilliant that even he was oblivious to his craft. That's how good he is! It didn't feel like he was ever trying to act. He is a natural".
