Baahubali - The Eternal War Got Selected For The World's Biggest, Annecy International Animation Film Festival
The Baahubali franchise, which consists of two mega blockbusters, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, is one of the biggest brands in Indian cinema. It is among the most-watched Indian content globally and holds immense resonance. While it has created records and set benchmarks across the world in theatres, the makers have taken it to another level with Baahubali: The Eternal War, whose teaser alone has created waves globally. Now, making yet another major global impact, the film has been selected for the prestigious Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

Baahubali: The Eternal War is already making waves across the globe well before its release. With its selection at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival under the Work in Progress segment, the film stands tall as very few Indian animation film to be showcased at this prestigious platform. Spider Verse and Flow which won the oscar for Best Animation in 2025 also featured in the Work in Progress segment at AIAFF, making this a remarkable achievement for the Baahubali franchise.
The top-notch quality and technical brilliance achieved by the makers of Baahubali: The Eternal War were already evident in the teaser itself. With this, the franchise has certainly elevated the standard of Indian animation cinema and made a strong global mark.

Annecy International Animation Film Festival takes place at the last week of June in the town of Annecy, France. It's a competition between animated films of various techniques (traditional, cut-outs, claymation, CGI, etc.) classified in various categories. Throughout the festival, in addition to the competing films projected in various cinemas of the city, an open-air night projection is organized on Pâquier, in the centre of the town, amongst the lake and with the mountains. According to the topic of the festival, classic or recent films are projected upon the giant screen. On Saturday evening, all the award winners are presented.
Baahubali: The Eternal War is a two-part animated epic directed by award-winning filmmaker Ishan Shukla. The teaser of Part 1 has already been released, and the film is slated for release in 2027.
