Radha Krishna Actor Tarun Khanna: If My Heart Is Inside That Character, Then Only I Can Portray It Properly

Tarun Khanna, who has been a part of shows like Karm Phal Data Shani. Radha Krishna and Iai Kanhaiva Lal Ki Devi Adi Parashakti, Katha Vishwas Ke Itihaas Ki, Santoshi Maa, and Param Avtar Shri Krishna don't believe in following any specific acting method. Instead, he tries to get into the skin of his character, and that makes it easy for him to portray it.

He said, "I believe there is no one method to achieve the character that you want. I do follow many things, but most importantly, I follow my heart. If my heart is inside that character, then only I can portray it properly, and whatever means it takes-sometimes I change my physicality, sometimes I try to speak differently, sometimes I try to walk differently-and I practice it over a period of time to get into the skin of that character. I keep on practicing myself regularly because my role can come anytime, so I like to mimic people; that is a very good exercise, according to me.

"I normally don't follow anybody else's method. I have read about other people's methods, but I don't follow anybody else's method. I have formulated my own method, and as I said, my method is to get to feel the character, to feel how this character will behave, what background he is from, how educated he is, and what kind of a person he is. Is he aggressive? Is he submissive? What is his relationship with the people that he is talking to? All these things actually help me formulate the character," he added.

Tarun mentioned that it's not an acting method that has influenced him, but people from the industry have. He said, "Many actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Nana Patekar, Ashutosh Rana, Dilip Kumar, Naseeruddin Shah, Irrfan Khan, and Manoj Bajpayee-all these guys help you reach the character you want to portray."

As for his acting approach across different genres and characters, he shared that it comes to him organically. "I think now it's in my blood because I have been acting for more than two decades, so it comes naturally. Now I just read the role, and I know what I need to do," Tarun ended.
