Ekta Kapoor shared a video on social media where she spoke about the decision and addressed fans directly. As per the video shared on her Instagram Stories, the last episode will air on June 7, which also coincides with her birthday.

Speaking about the reason behind ending Naagin 7 in June, Ekta stated that the popular supernatural thriller franchise was always designed as a limited, 30-episode finite series. However, on the insistence of the channel, they extended it to 50-episodes.

She added that the show is being turned into a seasonal drama with its eighth season being planned to premiere next year.
