Mother’s Day 2026: Sanjay Gagnani Credits His Mother For His Success, Calls Her As The Homemaker Who Built....
For many actors, the road to the spotlight begins with a Godfather. For Sanjay Gagnani, it began at home. In a candid reflection the actor credits his mother Mrs. Smita Raju Gagnani for her unwavering support. From his earliest school days, she was the constant presence backstage and in the stands.

"She stood behind me like a rock," he said. "She encouraged me to participate in every co-curricular activity possible: dance competitions, fashion shows, sports, stage performances. Whatever I excelled at, I did because she believed I could before I even did."
Her influence went beyond cheering from the sidelines. The actor described a childhood shaped by careful attention to both physical health and personal values.
"She was extremely particular about our nutrition. Healthy bowls, salads, fruits, balanced meals. She ensured we grew up strong from within," he explained. "But more importantly, she was strict when it came to values: ethics, manners, discipline, respect and humility. She raised us to become mentally and physically strong individuals."
While she identifies as a homemaker by profession, her son paints a different picture of her role. The 'Kundali Bhagya' actor describes her as the Homemaker who built a world.
"She may be a homemaker by profession, but in reality, she built a whole world," he said. "She shaped my father, me, and my younger brother into chivalrous, mannered and go-getter men."
The family's achievements, he insists, trace back to her. "Every achievement people credit us for belongs to her. It's not our success story. It's hers. It's her world. We just live in it."
The actor's words have resonated with readers who see in his story a broader truth about the often-unseen labor of mothers. In an industry that celebrates individual stars, his remarks shift the spotlight to the person who taught him how to stand in it.
Sanjay began his career back in 2010 and has since appeared in numerous shows including Bairi Piya, Hamari Devrani, Veera, and Naagin. He also acted in Bollywood films such as Rakhtbeej (2012) and Heroine (2012).He has won multiple accolades and currently winning hearts from his OTT projects.
