Vijay's Family Feud Explained: What's Behind The Rift Between TVK Chief, Wife Sangeetha & His Parents? The recent reports on the popular actor-politican's married life has left his fans and well-wishers in deep shock. Thalapathy Vijay's wife Sangeetha Sornalingam recently filed a divorce petition at the Chengalpattu Family Court, which was later leaked online. The estranged wife accused Vijay of infidelity and cruelty, in her petition.

This sudden revelation has brought the long-standing rumours about the long-standing feud at the actor-politician's family, back in discussions. The netizens are now busy digging up many instances where quite a few closed ones of Thalapathy Vijay, including his father SA Chandrasekar, admitted that all is not well between them.

What's Behind The Rift Between Thalapathy Vijay, His Wife Sangeetha & His Parents?

In one of his earlier interviews, Vijay's father SA Chandrasekar had mentioned that he is no longer in talking terms with his son. The senior filmmaker, who revealed that he used to manage the popular star's career earlier, further added that Thalapathy Vijay distanced himself from his parents, and is now surrounded by a group of 'Yes' men. Chandrasekar's revelations were revealed to be true when the Jana Nayagan star filed a lawsuit against in parents in September 2021, alleging they are trying to form a political party in his name, without his concent.

As reported earlier, Thalapathy Vijay's estranged wife Sangeetha Sornalingam revealed that she discovered the actor's extramarital affair with a popular actress, in 2021. Even though Vijay initially promised her that he will end this affair, he continued seeing the actress, causing her agony. Sangeetha has also alleged this actress (rumoured to be Trisha Krishnan) of flaunting their affair, thus causing a great deal of pain and humiliation to both her and their kids, Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha.

Now, the netizens have discovered that Thalapathy Vijay was never seen in any of the main events in his family members' lives. The actor-politician gave his parents SA Chandrasekar and Sobha Chandrasekar's 50th wedding anniversary celebrations, and both his son Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha's convocation events a miss, due to undisclosed reasons. However, he was actively participating on all important events hosted by his friends.

Even though Vijay has been maintaining a clear distance from the family, his parents attended the Jana Nayagan audio launch event, to celebrate their son's retirement from cinema. His mother Sobha Chandrasekhar had even performed at the event. However, Thalapathy Vijay's son Jason Sanjay, who is set to make his directorial debut, recently made the distance with his father very clear by unfollowing him on social media handles.

Now, a few posts that claim that the TVK Chief has distanced himself from his entire family, and is living all alone in his Neelankarai house, has been doing rounds on social media. It also suggest that he has ended his rumorued relationship with Trisha Krishnan for the sake of his family. However, the future of this family feud will be determined only after Vijay and Sangeetha come to a common ground about their separation.
