Karuppu Advance Booking Update: Suriya And Trisha Starrer Registers Strong Early Pre-Sales In Tamil Nadu

Karuppu Advance Booking Update: Advance bookings for Karuppu, the upcoming Tamil action drama starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, officially opened in Tamil Nadu on the evening of May 10, and the film has already recorded a notable start in pre-sales within minutes of ticket sales going live.

Directed by RJ Balaji and backed by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 14, 2026. Ticket bookings in Tamil Nadu began at 7 PM on Sunday.

Shortly after bookings opened, box office tracker Jerin Georgekutty shared an update on X, stating that Karuppu had crossed ₹10 lakh in Tamil Nadu advance sales within the first 19 minutes. The tracker also noted that the numbers came from only a limited number of shows that had been opened for booking initially, with additional screens and show timings expected to be added in the coming hours.

The update further mentioned that the reported figures did not include gross collections from a few limited shows that had reportedly gone live before the official booking time.

Karuppu Cast, Crew And Advance Booking Trend Ahead Of Release

Karuppu marks one of the major Tamil releases of the summer season and has generated attention following its promotional materials. Apart from Suriya and Trisha, the cast also includes Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy and Yogi Babu.

The screenplay has been co-written by RJ Balaji along with Ashwin Ravichandran, Rahul Raj, T. S. Gopi Krishnan and Karan Aravind Kumar. The film's music has been composed by Sai Abhyankkar, while cinematography is handled by G. K. Vishnu. Editing duties have been carried out by R. Kalaivanan.

Produced by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner, the project also features action choreography by Anbariv and Vikram Mor. The technical crew additionally includes production designer Arun Venjaramoodu and sound mixing by Kannan Ganpat.

With four days left for release, the coming days are expected to provide a clearer picture of the film's advance booking momentum across Tamil Nadu and other markets.
