The long-delayed sequel of the 2019-released blockbuster action thriller, is one of the most anticipated projects of Tamil cinema. Kaithi 2, which was supposed to mark the reunion of Karthi and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, has been put on hold due to the hitmaker's busy schedule.

However, the Tamil cinema fans recently got a pleasant surprise in the form of a leaked censor certificate, which has dropped some exciting updates on Kaithi 2. If the screenshot which is now doing rounds is genuine, a major treat is on its way for the fans of Karthi and director Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Recently, a screenshot of the censor certificate, which suggest that the Kaithi 2 official teaser has finished its censor formalities, was leaked online. To the much surprise of the Tamil cinema audiences, the viral picture suggest that the upcoming Karthi starrer has been titled 'Kaithi 2 - Dilli'. Interestingly, the new social media post suggest that the much-awaited teaser has received a U certificate from the censor board.

From the leaked picture, it is also evident that Prabhu Sundakkampalayam Ramasamy, the producer of Kaithi, submitted the new digital teaser for censor clearance under his home banner Dream Warrior Pictures' name. Even though Karthi, director Lokesh Kanagaraj and producer SR Prabhu are remaining tight-lipped about this new development, the viral post has left the Tamil cinema audiences highly excited.

Kaithi 2: What's The Current Status?

Earlier, director Lokesh Kanagaraj had confirmed that the Kaithi sequel will start rolling soon after he wraps up the upcoming Allu Arjun starrer Telugu project. Karthi, however, stated that only the filmmaker can speak about Kaithi 2, as the future of the film lies on his hands. If the project finally materialises, the LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe) which is now stalled, will get a much-needed revamp.
