According to the latest updates by the Valai Pechu YouTube channel, the makers are indeed keen to release the H Vinoth directorial in June 2026, as a part of leading man Thalapathy Vijay's 52nd birthday celebrations.

The grapevine suggest that Jana Nayagan will now hit the theatres on Thursday, June 18, 2026, ahead of the actor-politicians birthday. The makers, KVN Productions is considering this date not just because it is nearer to Thalapathy Vijay's birthday, but also it is a long weekend which coincide with the Muharram holidays. It is indeed the best chance for the H Vinoth directorial to revive its declining hype.

However, both Thalapathy Vijay and the Jana Nayagan team are remaining tight-lipped about the new reports, which are now circulating online. Even though a May 2026 release is possible for the film if the censor board issues certificate in a few days, the team might wait for another month, in order to make use of the June 2026 season to the fullest.

The team is reportedly quite sure that they doesn't want to take a risk by releasing the Thalapathy Vijay starrer in March 2026, as it is the exam month in Tamil Nadu. April 2026, on the other hand, is the election season and this makes it impossible for Jana Nayagan to have a release at that month.
