Actress Vishnu Priya's Father Found Dead At Kodaikanal Bungalow; Police Probe Possible Revenge Angle

Vishnu Priya's Father Death: The father of Tamil actress Vishnu Priya was reportedly found murdered at a private bungalow in Kodaikanal, triggering a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. The deceased has been identified as 73-year-old Suryanarayanan. According to a report by Asianet News, his body was discovered at a bungalow located near the Kurinji Andavar Temple in Dindigul district.

Police officials said the incident came to light after Suryanarayanan was found unresponsive at the property. His body was reportedly discovered seated on a chair near the swimming pool area, with his hands tied and adhesive tape placed over his mouth. Authorities confirmed that he had died before officers reached the location.

Five Youths Under Suspicion As Police Probe Revenge Angle

Investigators are examining multiple angles, including the possibility of revenge. The district police chief stated that all potential motives are being considered as part of the ongoing probe.

The bungalow, which is situated in a popular tourist area of Kodaikanal, had some rooms reportedly rented out to visitors. As per preliminary findings cited by Asianet News, five young men who had been staying at the property for the past two days are suspected to be involved in the crime. Police sources indicated that gold ornaments and the CCTV hard disk from the premises were found missing, raising the possibility of theft being linked to the incident.

Two employees working at the bungalow, identified as Arumugam and Murali, were reportedly restrained with ropes before the crime took place. Both individuals have been taken in for questioning as part of the investigation.

Police are also looking into whether the murder could be connected to an earlier criminal case. In 2018, Suryanarayanan had been arrested in connection with the killing of Prabhakaran, who was said to have been in a relationship with Vishnu Priya. Officials have not confirmed any direct link but stated that investigators are examining whether the current incident may have been an act of retaliation.

Actress Vishnu Priya, who appeared in the 2005 Tamil film Maayavi starring Suriya, currently resides in Chennai.
