70th Filmfare Awards South 2026 Winners List (Tamil): The biggest names of the four South Indian film industries, including the Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada cinema came together on February 21, 2026, for the 70th Filmfare Awards South 2026 event. The event was organised by Filmfare in association with the Kerala Tourism board, in order to honour the finest talents of cinema in 2025.

When it comes to the Tamil film industry, some of the best films and talents who shined in 2025 bagged the top honours at the Filmfare Awards South 2026. Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, who played the lead roles in the much-loved film Amaran, won the trophies for Best Actor and Best Actress in the Popular category, respectively.

Arvind Swamy took home the trophy for the Best Actor in the Critics category for Meiyazhayan, while Anna Ben the Best Actress award in the same category for Kottukali. Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy also won quite a lot of awards in the technical categories as well, at the 70th Filmfare Awards South.

Best Debut Director: Suresh Mari (J Baby), Tamizharasan Pachamuthu (Lubber Pandhu)

Best Debut Male: Hridhu Haroon (Thugs)

Best Debut Female: Sri Gouri Priya (Lover)
