Masthishka Maranam Box Office Collection: The Malayalam comedy sci-fi thriller Masthishka Maranam (A Frankenbiting of Simon's Memories) has completed five days of its theatrical run after releasing in cinemas on February 27. As of March 4, the film has entered its sixth day in theatres as its first week at the domestic box office continues.

According to estimates reported by box office tracking website Sacnilk, the film has collected approximately ₹2.21 crore in India net during its first five days. The film's early earnings were largely driven by its opening weekend before experiencing a typical slowdown once the weekday cycle began.

Masthishka Maranam opened with an estimated ₹0.38 crore on its first day, which fell on a Friday. Collections increased the following day as the film recorded around ₹0.55 crore on Saturday. The upward trend continued into Sunday, when the film earned roughly ₹0.55 crore again, maintaining similar numbers to the previous day and closing the opening weekend with a modest total.

Like many theatrical releases, the film saw a drop in collections once the working week started. Monday's earnings were reported at approximately ₹0.37 crore. On Tuesday, the film collected around ₹0.36 crore based on early estimates. With these figures, the total India net collection for the first five days stands at about ₹2.21 crore.

Cast, Plot And Technical Details Of Masthishka Maranam

The film is directed by Krishand and produced under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films. Krishand has also written the screenplay and dialogues for the project. The cast includes Rajisha Vijayan, Niranj Maniyanpilla Raju, Divya Prabha, Rahul Rajagopal, Jagadish, Suresh Krishna, Nandhu, Zhinz Shan, Ann Saleem, and Jain Andrews in various roles.

The narrative follows a grieving father who becomes involved in a virtual reality memory game. During the experience, he begins to uncover unexpected truths connected to Frida Soman, a widely admired global film star whom he has long considered his idol. As the story unfolds, the character's investigation into the past leads to revelations that challenge his perception of the figure he admired.

On the technical side, cinematography for the film is handled by Prayag Mukundan. The music and sound design are composed by Varkey, while the lyrics are written by Vinayak Sasikumar and Vaisakh Sugunan. Editing has also been carried out by Krishand. The art direction is overseen by Alvin Joseph along with the director himself.

Additional crew members include costume designer Divya Joby, make-up artist Arshad Varkala, and stunt coordinator Shravan Satya. The film's colour grading is done by Arjun Menon, and the final sound mix is handled by Jeo Pious.
