Pharma OTT Release: The upcoming Malayalam drama series Pharma, starring Nivin Pauly, is set to explore the intense and competitive world of pharmaceutical sales in India. Written and directed by P. R. Arun, the series follows the story of a middle-class medical representative navigating corporate pressures, ethical dilemmas, and the challenges posed by a high-stakes industry. Nivin Pauly takes on the lead role in his debut web series, marking a new direction in his career.

Produced by Krishnan Sethukumar under the banner Movie Mill, Pharma reportedly draws inspiration from true events, highlighting the often unseen pressures within the pharmaceutical sector. The narrative focuses on the personal and professional conflicts faced by the protagonist as he encounters corporate greed, stringent sales targets, and moral decisions that affect both his career and personal life.

The series first made its appearance at the 55th International Film Festival of India on November 27, 2024, generating curiosity about its story and approach. Recently, the makers released the official trailer, providing a glimpse into the narrative of the series. Alongside the trailer, the streaming date also was revealed.

Pharma Streaming Details

Pharma will be available for streaming from December 19, 2025, on Jio Hotstar. To reach a broader audience across India, the series will release in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, and Marathi.

The cast includes Rajit Kapur, Binu Pappu, Narain, Shruti Ramachandran, Veena Nandakumar, Muthumani, and Aalekh Kapoor, alongside Nivin Pauly. Cinematography for the series is handled by Abinandhan Ramanujam, while music is composed by Abjaksh S, supported by backing vocals from Aavani Malhar and J'mymah. The sound design, mixing, and mastering have been managed by Midhun Anand, with production and post-production carried out across studios in Kochi and Trivandrum.
