Kalamkaval Vs Dies Irae Box Office Collection Day 18: The neo-noir crime thriller, starring Mammootty and Vinayakan in the lead roles, has completed 3 weeks in the theatres. Even though Kalamkaval has slowed down a little, the movie is still performing very well at the box office. Reportedly, the Mammootty starrer is now set to surpass the lifetime collections of Dies Irae, the horror film starring Pranav Mohanlal in the lead role.

According to the reports by trade experts handle Friday Matinee, Kalamkaval has crossed the glorious ₹80 crore mark at the box office by the end of its third weekend at the theatres. The recent updates suggests that the total worldwide collection of the Mammootty starrer might touch ₹83 crore by 22nd or 23rd day of its release. In that case, the Jithin K Jose directorial will beat Dies Irae, the Pranav Mohanlal starrer which was released in October 2025.

For the uninitiated, the horror thriller, which had a highly successful run in the theatres, made a total gross collection of around ₹83 crore within its lifetime run at the theatres. If Kalamkaval succeeds in crossing Dies Irae's lifetime collections at the worldwide box office, the project will emerge as the 4th highest grossing Malayalam film of 2025, after Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra, Empuraan, and Thudarum.

However, while considering the limited theatrical days left for the Jithin K Jose film, it is evident that Mammootty has missed his entry into the glorious ₹100 crore club of Malayalam cinema yet again. Kalamkaval is likely to cross the ₹85 to ₹88 crore with its lifetime collections from the worldwide box office, if things follow at the same rate. It is not a disappointing box office figure for the film, which was made in a moderate budget.
