Salim Khan Health LIVE Updates: Veteran Bollywood screenwriter and Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, has been admitted to the ICU at Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai, on Tuesday (February 17). After Khan's hospitalisation, his family members, including children Salman Khan and Alvira, with sons-in-law Atul Agnihotri and Aayush Sharma, were spotted at the hospital.
Salim Khan's second wife and actress Helen was also snapped by the paparazzi as she entered the premises of the hospital. His grandchildren, Nirvaan Khan and Arhaan Kha,n also rushed to the hospital after they got to know about his health.
Salim Khan Health Update: Why Was He Admitted To Hospital?
On Tuesday morning (around 8:30 am), Salim Khan's family doctor, Dr. Sandeep Chopra, brought him to the emergency department of Lilavati Hospital. The Sholay writer was shifted to the ICU following emergency care.
"Hello everybody. Yes, it is true that Mr Salim Khan, father of famed Bollywood actor Salman Khan and an icon in himself, has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital under the care of Dr Jalil Parkar. He was brought to the emergency department early this morning at 8:30 am by the family doctor, Dr Sandeep Chopra. Emergency care was initiated, following which Mr Khan was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit on the first floor. A team of doctors - Dr Vinay Chavan (Neurologist), Dr Ajit Menon (Cardiologist), Dr Nitin Dange (Neurosurgeon) and Dr Bineet Ahluwalia - attended to him. Respecting the family's request, further details are not being shared today. However, a press bulletin will be issued tomorrow at 11 am with due consent of the relatives, while maintaining patient confidentiality. He is stable but under close observation with regard to his clinical status," Dr Jalil Parkar, Lilavati Hospital, said in an official statement as quoted as saying by PTI and IANS.
Salim Khan Is Now Stable: Doctor Gives Update About Salman Khan's Father
Dr. Jalil Parkar issued a statement, confirming that Salim Khan is under close observation. He said that the hospital didn't share further details to respect the family's request. A team of able doctors is attending to the 90-year-old.

Providing further details, the doctor said, “He is still on a ventilator. He is in the ICU. But he is recovering. Digital Subtraction Angiography procedure was performed. His blood pressure was also high, so we kept him on a ventilator as a backup for safety. He is doing better now; recovery is slow due to his age.”
