Ravie Dubey & Sargun Mehta Share First Details On Their Upcoming Pan-India Film. Who Is Playing Lead?

Ravie Dubey has shared the first clear hint of a large-scale Pan India Punjabi film, with Sargun Mehta in the lead, being developed under their banner Dreamiyata Entertainment. The project is positioned as a nationwide theatrical release, signalling a wider reach than their earlier Punjabi-focused work and underlining the couple’s growing ambitions in cinema beyond regional boundaries.

Dreamiyata Entertainment, set up by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta, has already built a reputation for stories rooted in local culture yet accessible to varied audiences. The planned Pan India venture marks the banner’s most expansive step so far, reflecting how the duo’s work across film, television and digital platforms has steadily scaled up in recent years.

Pan India film vision and genre

Speaking to a leading publication, Ravie Dubey outlined how the still-untitled film emerged from Punjab yet is being designed for viewers nationwide. Ravie said, "It's a little bit zipped up right now but what I can tell you it's a film that comes out of Punjab with Sargun being the protagonist of the film, but it is a Pan India film. So we're very very excited about it. I mean we're extremely excited about it."

Ravie Dubey then detailed the broad creative plan and why the team feels the concept stands apart in the current landscape. "Our intention is, and we also feel, that this genre is an untapped genre. Not just in Punjab but in many parts of India as well.

So we want to bring this out and we have the beats in mind. We are fleshing out the script and we are fairly ahead in that journey as well. It's seeming very, very exciting.

We have started developing assets. We have started developing music. We are doing all those things. I mean, it just keeps us up at night. We are really having a ball."

Pan India film backed by Dreamiyata's strong year

The push towards a Pan India film arrives in a standout phase for Dreamiyata. 2025 has been described as a milestone year for the company, with the producers delivering Saukhan Saukhane 2, cited as the highest-grossing Punjabi film of the year, while Sargun Mehta also featured in Sarbala Ji, another title that performed strongly with cinema audiences.

On the digital front, Dreamiyata Drama continued to expand its footprint with YouTube-first content aimed at long-format storytelling. The platform crossed 1.1 billion views and logged over 9 billion minutes watched, while being positioned as India’s first dedicated original long-format drama ecosystem. Music also contributed, with the track Ve Haaniyaan crossing 700 million streams across platforms.

Television remains another key pillar in Dreamiyata’s slate. The banner’s list of fiction shows includes Udaariyaan, Swaran Ghar, Junooniyatt, Badal Pe Paon Hain, Dalchini, Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan and Tu Juliet Jatt Di. This spread across genres and channels has helped the company build a broad production blueprint that links films, TV and digital under one strategy.

The scale of those cumulative projects is one reason the Pan India film is being viewed as a natural extension rather than a sudden change of direction. With script work for the new project already underway and music and other visual assets in development, Dreamiyata is positioning the film as a major next step for both Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta.

As Dreamiyata Entertainment moves into this next phase, Ravie Dubey is also preparing for a significant acting turn in mythology, with a portrayal of Lakshman. The combination of a large Pan India Punjabi film and an epic mythological role signals a busy period ahead for the actor-producer and reinforces the sense of forward momentum for the banner.
