Rajpal Yadav Surrenders In Tihar Jail After Delhi High Court Rejects His Plea; Read DEETS: The senior Bollywood actor, who has been convicted in the cheque bounce case, has surrendered at the Tihar Jail on Thursday, February 5, 2026. As per the reports, Rajpal Yadav surrendered before the jail authorities after the Delhi High Court rejected his plea to extend of time to surrender.

As per the latest reports, Rajpal Yadav had approached the Delhi High Court, in a final attempt to avoid imprisonment in a series of cheque bounce cases against him. But, the judging panel rejected the senior Bollywood actor's plea and immediately directed him to surrender before the jail authorities immediately.
Reportedly, this new development came after the Rajpal Yadav informed the court that was unable to fulfill the deadline of 4 pm on February 4, 2026 to surrender in the case, as he was attempting to arrange the money. The Delhi High Court, however, rejected the actor's plea stating that he failed to comply with the previous surrender order.
Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma, who rejected Rajpal Yadav's plea, stating that there was no ground to grant further relief. The court has also decided to conduct further hearing on the case, only after the actor hands himself over to the Tihar jail authorities. Following the court's orders, Rajpal Yadav's counsel informed the bench that the actor would surrender at the Tihar jail soon.
Following the court's orders, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa actor surrendered before the Tihar jail officials on Thursday (February 5, 2026) evening. "Rajpal Yadav surrendered before the jail authorities at 4 PM on Thursday. Now the jail officials will follow the standard operating procedure," confirmed a source close to the Tihar jail, in an interaction with PTI.
